It just looks like a mess to me. An amateurish, trying-too-hard-to-be-cool mess at that.
Last time we did a logo it was some for somewhat less than $800,000.

So years ago when I asked my mother how she liked the film she and my Dad had just seen (I Am Curious, Yellow), she said, "I am nauseous, green!" (!!!) Well, regarding the 2012 Olympics logo, I am nauseous fuscia.

This gives me hope that someday someone will pay me hundreds of thousands of dollars for my graphic design ability.
Maybe it would have been a good logo if the year had been 1984 when parachute pants and dayglo mohawks were still in vogue. London may not be the center of fashion, but it has progressed beyond 80's styles
